Did You Hear?
Did you hear the birds at morn,
Sing of joy for a brand new day?
Did you hear children's laughter;
While they were out at play?
Did you hear a baby crying in the night?
Did you hear the soft murmuring;
Of your true loves delight?
Did you hear the torrid rain?
Did you hear the thunder from heaven;
Or the flutter of birds on the wing;
In the wind that was once there?
Did you hear a grand symphony
Did you hear God whisper,
"My presence is everywhere."
Did you hear the snow falling from above?
If you did hear all these things,
Then you're blessed by God in Heaven above!
People take their hearing for granted,
They never think of it until it's gone away;
It's one of the blessings of life.
Always cherish the things that you have,
Then you'll be filled with the joy in life.
And you'll always be thankful and glad,
And thank God for giving you sound
Thank God for everything you have!
